Shrimant Chhatrapati Udayanraje Pratapsinh Maharaj Bhosale is the revered deity of Maharashtra, the thirteenth descendant of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Shivaji Maharaj. Udayanraje Bhosale is a descendant of Chhatrapati’s throne of Satara.

The people of Maharashtra still see him as Chhatrapati and respect him accordingly. When they speak, no one dares to question them, not even journalists in Satara.Udayanraje, who is six feet tall and has a heavy physique, has a truly royal personality.

Udyan Raje Bhosale is an Indian politician and member of the Bhartiya Janata Party. He is a former member of the 17th Lok Sabha representing the NCP from Satara constituency in Maharashtra.

Udayanraje Bhosale was born on February 24, 1966 in Nashik, Maharashtra, India. He received his primary education in Dehradun. His father Pratapsinh Bhosale died while he was studying.

Udayanraje’s mother, Shrimant Chhatrapati Rajmata Kalpanaraje Pratapsinh Maharaj Bhosale, lives in the Jalmandir Wada of Satara.

And Udayanraje completed his further education in Panchgani. Udayanraje graduated from Pune with a degree in engineering. He did his MBA from England.

“My parents have been incredibly kind to me. They put me in a hostel for education from the very beginning. So I never felt the weight of the royal family’s legacy as a child. I never felt like I was different from others. The one who used to give me chocolate at school is my friend! I was far away from the monarchy,”‘ says Udayanraje.

She married Damayantiraje on 20 November 2003. Udayanraje’s next generation is his son Veerpratapsinhraje and a daughter.

He had a dream to pursue a career in racing before joining politics, but it didn’t work out. Although horse riding and car driving are his passions, Raja has a simple lifestyle. Maharaj Saheb’s favorite dress code is ‘Jean, a casual shirt on it and Kolhapuri slippers on the feet’!

Bhosale’s hobbies are similar to raja’s. He’s passionate about Formula One. He likes to drive fast. And they also claim that they can cover the distance from Satara to Pune in 35 minutes. He also loves boxing.

Political journey of Udayanraje Bhosale –

After returning from England after completing higher studies in 1990, Udayanraje took the path of democracy, i.e. electoral politics, for political supremacy. And jumped into electoral politics.

He was elected as a councillor in 1991. In 1996, Udayanraje contested as an Independent candidate from Satara Lok Sabha constituency, but lost.He then joined the BJP and was elected as a BJP candidate in the 1998 Satara Assembly by-election, at which time he was given the post of Minister of State for Revenue in the coalition government. Udayanraje Bhosale was minister of state for revenue in 1998-99.Udayanraje had a special relationship with Gopinath Munde in the BJP. But in the James Lane case, the BJP did not take a proper stand. Alleging this, Udayanraje walked out of the BJP and then joined the NCP.

He is a former member of the 17th Lok Sabha representing the NCP from Satara constituency in Maharashtra.

He was elected to the Lok Sabha in 2009, 2014 and 2019 lok sabha elections as an NCP candidate.

In 2019, he returned to the Bharatiya Janata Party after resigning from the NCP constituency. But he was defeated by Shrinivas Patil in the Lok Sabha by-election.

Udayanraje Bhosale resigned from his post on September 14, 2019.
