Novak Djokovic is a Serbian star tennis player. Djokovic has an uncanny streak of 325 consecutive weeks at number one in the world rankings. Novak has undoubtedly etched his name among the greatest tennis players of all time.
Novak was born on May 22, 1987 in Belgrade, Yugoslavia. His father name is Sridan Djokovic Montenegro and mother name is Dijana Djokovic (Croatia). His favorite toys as a child were the racket and foam ball his father brought him. Tennis became a career for Djokovic, who grew up playing with them. Seeing his interest, his parents sent him to a tennis camp at the age of six, before even entering primary school. With the encouragement of Monica Seles, he studied tennis in Germany for four years. Djokovic suffered from asthma. Djokovic started treatment for it. I did what the experts told me not to aggravate this problem while playing. After all this, when Djokovic entered the international arena as a professional tennis player, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal were sitting on the same Grand Slam titles.
At the age of fourteen, he won singles, doubles and team titles at the European Championships. Later in the Rogers Cup, when he beat Andy Roddick in the semi-finals, Rafael Nadal in the semi-finals and Roger Federer in the final in back-to-back matches, ‘this boy is going to win a Grand Slam title,’ said the illustrious veteran tennis player Bian Borg. Just as tennis was on the horizon, he developed elbow pain and had to deal with the pain for two years. Overcame even that, he made a comeback and resumed his winning streak. By winning the French Open 2023, Novak Djokovic became the most successful player in men’s singles with 23 Grand Slams.
